Some basic tips for using powerpoint in a classroom:
- Have students tell a story they have written with images or clip art on powerpoint. It would allow for mutliple intelligences and allow for some humor in the classroom.
- Have students present about an author using a powerpoint. Builds both technological skills, literary skills, and oral skills.
- As a teacher, I could present new information using an interactive powerpoint. Note, this is not just a lecturing tool. Needs to be interactive or kids will be bored out of their minds.
- Also great if you have a substitute because the lesson plan is embedded and ready to go.
